10 Best PS Vita Games of 2014!
Speed is your weapon! 2X is a faster sequel to the original Velocity. It’s both an action-platformer and a vertical shooter. With everything happening fast, it can be hard to keep up. Fortunately the controls are responsive. Plus, the visual cues, fluid animation & colorful level designs lifts the game into one amazing experience.
Child of Light
The Dark Queen has stolen the Sun, Moon Stars. Restore these celestial bodies and find your way back home! The art design of this game is stunning and it works well with its engaging narrative. But my favorite is, of course, it’s well-structured combat. It’s easy-to-learn and super fun!
Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited
This is a port of A Promise Unforgotten that was first released on the PS3, packaged with all DLCs, new stories & characters, plus tons more! It’s a game filled with memorable and funny characters! The graphics are good but you’ll play it for its deep, immersive combat.
Soul Sacrifice Delta
This PS Vita exclusive is a sequel to Soul Sacrifice although it’s more like an expansion. On top of the content of the original game, it comes with: new monsters, quests, faction, combos and so much more! The game felt repetitive sometimes. But, the content and awesome hack-and-slash gameplay saved it.
Explore random dungeons and defeat bosses! Your legacy begins in death. When you die, your son or daughter continues your quest and so will their heirs. It’s hard but delivers an unforgettable experience. The random characters, dungeons, their skills and different challenges that lies ahead are just exciting and you’d want to play it again and again.
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
The second game of the series is just as entertaining as the first! The graphics are exactly the same and it’s more of an interactive novel than a game…but I love the characters…They’re interesting and relatable. The story is well-paced, intriguing and bizarre! But the plot-twists, man. They’re awesome!
The Unfinished Swan
The story revolves around finding a lost swan. You’ll splatter ink, water plants, follow the light…as you move across different levels. It’s a short game — you can finish it in 2 to 3 hours. But the time you spend playing it is definitely worth every second. For me, this is the most beautiful Vita game.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remastered
Yes, it’s a remaster of a dated PS2 game, but playing it is still an unforgettable experience. Boasting one of the best stories of the franchise, and now with enhanced content – You get 2 of the most loved RPG games in one remastered classic!
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f
It’s a fun rhythm game first released in Japan, exclusively, in 2012…and since it’s music-themed, let me just say it… Project Diva F has an excellent pop soundtrack! The graphics have improved compared to the first game, with realtime lighting. Facial expressions have are better. And the drive to earn perfect scores is still there!
Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition
It’s the same Minecraft on a handheld gaming console. Smaller world and multi-play that’s limited to only four players. But remember…it’s Minecraft! Somehow, it’s still a great game. The controls are intuitive, the graphics are smooth, and the game is just as addictive as ever.
